Cheesy Hempy Spicy Kale Chips!!


CheesyHempySpicyKaleChips (2)Watcha Gunna Need:  This is a healthy alternative to chips or crackers, full of flavour, offers PH balance, and you get your green veggy serving!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashews (soaked overnight)
  • 1/3 cup raw hulled hemp seed nut
  • 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon
  • 1-2 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast
  • 1 tsp. Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. Cayenne powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Himalayan salt
  • 1 full bunch kale

Instructions

  1. Wash the kale, pat dry and tear into pieces, about 1 1/2 inches and place in a bowl
  2. Drain the water off of the cashews and place all of the ingredients in a food processor or  blender until smooth
  3. Pour the spread into the bowl and mix it into the kale to cover each piece
  4. Place kale on dehydrator trays and dehydrate at 125 for 8-10 hours or until desired crispness
  5. Store in an airtight glass container

Quick notes

Nutritional Yeast  is one of our favorite condiments we use on most everything, and a lot of vegetarians use to make things taste cheesy. It is full of B vitamins, minerals, enzymes some protein and lots of flavor.

Turmeric powder is ideal for health benefits such as a natural anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and other health benefits

Cayenne powder offers a zest, and a bit of heat that some claim it revs up a sluggish thyroid and digestive system
