Hemp Oil Cold Pressed or Cold Expeller Pressed or Unrefined Process Cold pressed oils, also known as cold expeller pressed oils, have been mechanically pressed from the fatty portions of the botanical while ensuring that the maximum temperature (caused by friction) does not exceed 120 degrees.
Cold Pressed Common Uses: food grade for human and animal products for consumption. Cold pressed can also be used in cosmetics and other non-food applications.
Appearance/Taste: The Cold Pressed hemp oil is green in colour, distinctive earthy taste with a minor pungent odor.
NOTE: Our hempseed oil processing in Canada is cold filtered pressed with removal of sediments larger than 3 microns, nitrogen purged/sparged. Then the oil is stored in refrigeration low light conditions.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
Hempseed plant based oilseed provides a perfectly balance Omega 3-6-9. Approximately 80% is polyunsaturated fat– the highest of any vegetable oil. Specifically, it contains the essential fatty acids (EFAs) linoleic acid (omega- 6) and alpha linolenic acid (omega- 3). These EFAs cannot be synthesized by the body and must be obtained from our diets. Hemp seed oil also contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA), from which omega- 6 is naturally converted. Modern day diets and sluggish enzyme activity often impair this conversion and cause GLA deficiency. Hemp seed oil solves this problem. No other single source oil has this ideal combination of EFAs.
